We've reached the half-way mark, I'm so excited!
Not-so-good news: I may have toxemia/preeclampsia already :( Big bummer about that. Last week my right foot and lower leg started swelling up for no reason (which is odd since I had surgery on my left ankle about 6 months ago). I have to go in later today to have it checked out because the swelling only goes down just a little bit when I elevate it and is still swollen when I wake up in the morning. I don't have any signs of a blood clot and earlier this week, my blood pressure was good. Weird. Makes me nervous, but I'm sure all will be OK.
Good news: I found a new OBGYN. Dr. Russell Beck who is going to be the head of Obstetrics at the new Banner Gateway hospital on Higley & I-60. Which means I get to deliver at the hospital I wanted to, yeah!
Great news: The nursery is well under way. I have been busy organizing the baby's room (we used it as storage while we unpacked-bad idea) and Dave has been Mr. Fix-it, assembling the crib and installing the ceiling fan and moving things to the attic. Not such a fun feat during the dead of an Arizona summer. I think I've decided on paint colors finally. Very boring: tan and light blue with a chocolate stripe.
I'm so excited to be at the half-way point that I'm treating myself to a massage on Saturday! Yeah for me!!

How exciting!!! Not so much about the swelling though. I'm sure everything will be okay, your tough!!! I'm very excited to see the nursery when it's all done!!! Where is the chocolate colored stripe going to be?
Crossing my fingers for your ankle.
I know about the swelling. If your BP is good and there is no protein in your pee you are good. Sometimes swelling just happens especailly in the dang dead heat of this summer crap. When I started swelling I just stayed off my feet when I wasn't at work. It helped, but I still ended up with Toxcimia. But, I got really bad towards the end so that was better than having to be on bed rest for a long time.
I'm sorry about the swelling. But it's wonderful that you're past the half way mark! Woo Hoo!!
