Achy Breaky Belly

I'm sure this is a common symptom: the heavy belly. My gut feels SO heavy somedays, it's crazy! I'm doing pretty well with weight gain...so far 15 pounds (ALL in my boobs and belly). Hoping to keep it at a pound a week for a total of 35-40 pounds. That's my goal anyway. Back to the subject...I called my new doctor because this heaviness was so bad yesterday and I was having shooting pains in my right side. I thought they were ligament pains, but they were totally different than the ones I had earlier on. The doc gets on the phone and tells me, "that's because you've pulled, possibly torn that ligament on your right side. Didn't I tell you that when I did the ultrasound?" Uh, no! I sure wish docs would give all the info then and there so we didn't have to call them. Oh well, the baby is fine...so it seems this is just a minor inconvenience that I'll have to deal with.

Sometimes I felt like I had to lift my tummy up. Crazy stuff!

Well that sucks!! I don't know why doctors "forget" to tell certain things! But I am glad that the baby is doing good and everything is minor!!

I'm not that boy said...

I am pretty sure that means another massage is in order.

I think that I read somewhere about something that you can buy to help support your belly when you're pregnant. I think that it was kind of like those things the people in grocery stores or a heavy lifting job wear for their backs...but for your belly.

That might be something to look into, maybe do a google search.

They do have something to help hold in a little. I think they should still have them at motherhood. I was told to wear one because I had a pregnancy hernia. Yep, pregnancy does weird stuff to your bod. Anyhow, they are also good for after the baby to hold stomach in and get back to normal- so I hear, I never used one.
